In 16th century Japan, Shinmen Takezou is a wild, rough young man, in both his appearance and his actions. 7. xxxHOLiC

XXXHolic is a supernatural/comedy themed manga/anime that is apart of the CLAMP series. It is one of the more popular of the CLAMP series and often shows other CLAMP series being mentioned .

It revolves around a boy named Watanuki and how he stumbled upon a shop owned by a woman named Yuuko. Yuuko's power is to grant wishes, but she can only do so with proper payment. Since Watanuki has seen spirits ever since he was born, Yuuko offers to take away his sight of the spirits in exchange for him working at the shop. He agrees and works at the shop until his debt is repaid.

The series was re-named to xxxHolic•Rou on the title pages of each chapter from chapter 186 and on, but remains ×××Holic on the front covers, spines and indicias of the corresponding Japanese volumes .

A oneshot published in May 2010 to commemorate the switch was later collected into Volume 18.

6. Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou

Set in a post-apocalyptic Japan of the near future where the sea level has risen and flooded much of the coastal areas and Mt. Fuji has erupted within living memory. The population has been considerably reduced and political and technological institutions have broken-down. Local communities have become nations and telephone and television no longer exist . There are strange new animals and plants . The remaining people have adopted a slower-paced, simpler way of life and rely more on each other. Along with the human population are some intelligent, humanoid robots. One of the robots, a female named Alpha, runs a cafe by the same name in the country outside of what remains of Yokohama. With her trusty motorscooter and her camera she travels around the area making friends with the humans and robots, having new experiences and observing the passage of time.
